Welcome to the Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma in Cultural Studies. The Certificate and Diploma is comprised of the department's units of study taught on campus. However, because the Certificate and Diploma Programs are not taught on campus but operate entirely online, both programs involve using online platforms (WebCT and LAMS) to further the pedagogic advantages of learning in a virtual environment.

This means that I have designed challenging and flexible and, I hope fun and stimulating, interactive quizzes, images, exercises and question answer sequences to create a virtual dialogue between the lecture content (the lecturer) and participants. One of the aims of this interactivity is to help participants reflect on the way meaning and knowledge is produced and disseminated, not only through the content of the lectures, but also in and through the participant's interaction with those lectures. The interactive exercises are also designed to provide participants with flexible learning experiences that not only recognise, but also can be applied to, their professional and/or social and everyday needs.
