teachers of the Secondary English syllabus
The graduate programs have also been designed to provide tools for teachers of the new Secondary English syllabus introduced in 2001 (stages 4/5 and 6). The programs have developed specific teacher orientated interactive exercises that will enable application of Critical and Cultural Studies tools to prescribed Secondary English syllabus texts. These exercises (and other content) will be continually modified and updated as the Secondary texts and syllabus change and develop. The specific teacher orientated exercises and content can only be accessed by teachers enrolled for the Certificate or Diploma, by clicking on the 'Teacher Applications' icon found throughout each lecture in each unit.
- Note: these online units are also used as learning tools for international students. In particular, some of these online units contribute to the Macquarie University BA Media and Cultural Studies degree at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. For more information please go to the CCS Website at: www.ccs.mq.edu.au
The program will be completed entirely online. Quality interactive materials can be completed in students' own time. In other words, the structure of the program is flexible so as to suit people's work patterns.
For teachers enrolled in the programs the coordinator will be available each week (while the candidate is undergoing the program) for consultation by phone and/or email.
